Running back Jamaal Charles practiced with the Chiefs on Thursday as they began preparations for Monday nights game against the New England Patriots at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs planned to expand Charles role in Thursdays practice. Charles, who injured an ankle two weeks ago, was a limited practice participant last week on Thursday and Friday but didnt play in Sundays game against the Miami Dolphins. The Chiefs survived nicely without Charles in Miami. One running back, Knile Davis ran for 132 yards and a touchdown and another, Joe McKnight, caught two touchdown passes.
