Rurama Secondary School has begun in February 2005 by the initiative of parents in order to resolve the problem of their children who made a long trajectory to go to school but the official letter for acceptance is on 13/03/2005. It has two classes with 94 students; in 2006 they have built two additional rooms; in 2008 they have also built the fifth room by the credit from Popular Bank; in 2009 by the initiative of Rwandan Government in the program of 9 YBE; we have built six rooms; in 2010 five rooms, in 2012, three rooms now our school has 19 rooms with 818 students, 23 teachers, 3 supporting staffs and 3 administration staffs. Rurama Secondary has day program it, it has Lower and Upper level with 3 combinations (EKK, MEG and BCG). The first promotion in 2013 is in S5. Vision: To become premier school of Nation repute that prepares students for the Nation and for an Inclusive Society. Mission: To respond to societal needs by designing and delivering an education guided by the principles and values of respect for society, economy and environment. Logo: “The sky is the limit” it means in learning, in the discipline, our limit will be the sky. Location of Rurama Secondary School Rurama Secondary School is located in Ngoma District, Rukira Sector, Buliba Cellule, village of Rurama. It is in about 4 Km from the main road Kibungo-Rusumo. It is timeted in East by Mushikiri Sector, in North by Kabare Sector, in South by Murama Sector, in West by Kibungo Sector.
