Rush story from Jan. 25, 2014. Me and hubby went to get me a new car and were escorted into the Finance Managers office. We notice the walls are covered with framed Pink Floyd posters and framed album cover from Dark Side. I look at my husband and hes grinning from ear to ear. PF is his #1 fave,Rush is his #2 ( Im letting him slide on that one). We tell him were fans and I ask him if hes a Rush fan. He says yes, I have been a big fan for a long time. I ask if he saw the CA tour and he saidyes. We told him we saw 6 shows on that tour. I said,wasnt it amazing? He said he loved it, but was disappointed they didnt play very many of the new CA songs. I looked at my husband with a funny face and said,what do you mean, they played 9 out of 12 of the CA songs and if you caught two shows then you got 10 out of 12. He looked at me like my hair was on fire. He said, no way they didnt play that many of the CA stuff. I took that as a challenge and asked if he would like me to recite the entire setlist from the shows including the alternate songs? My husband said, you dont know who youre challenging dude, shes the queen of Rush in our house. He looked back atme and I proceeded to recite the setlists including the alternate songs, he just stared at me with his mouth wide open. When I finished he just looked at me and said, I had no idea they played all those songs and you really are the queen of Rush. Our credit was perfect and I drove my new car home with a smile on my face while christening my new stereo with what else but Sn&A followed by PeW. 😍
