Russia and the West on a slippery slope. I’m Lynn Woolley with your Logic Minute for 4/17/14 The headline on the Drudge Report is ominous. It blares—WORLD WAR III. We’re not there yet, but Vladimir Putin is pushing the envelope. The weak Europeans seem defenseless—depending on Russia for energy and not wanting to rock the boat. So the world looks to the United States. But we have a community organizer in office that seems disinterested in the Ukraine crisis. He’s busy cooking the books on Obamacare, and agitating on such issues as women’s rights, voter-ID, and climate change. That is what interests progressives, who happen to be in power at an unfortunate time. The Russian economy is tanking, and if we had a strong president, able to rally Europe, Putin could be controlled – and that ominous headline about World War might never come true.
