Russia believes the Ukraine to be one of its possessions! And America wants it to be in NATO, and Europe wants it in the European Union... and the current situation does not allow any of these sides to completely prevail over the other two and take Ukraine completely to its side. Crimea was an Islamic land for three and a half centuries before Russia occupied it!
