Russian Association launch translation service for Police Stations in Pattaya..!! Despite a significant fall in Russian Tourists visiting Pattaya, thought to be due to a 40% drop in value of the Rubel, a Russian Association based in Pattaya has decided to initiate a 24 hour translation service for local Police stations who encounter a language barrier when dealing with Russians. The program will begin at Banglamung Police Station and on Friday afternoon, Mr. Yuri Mamiadov presented Police Colonel Tamanoon, the Banglamung Police Chief, with 5 Smart Phones which will be used by officers who need to utilize the translation service. Each phone has been preloaded with popular communication apps such as Line, Skype and Whatsapp and officers will also be able to use Facetime to access the service around the clock. After an initial trial period, the service, entirely funded by the Russian Association, will roll-out to Pattaya, Na-Jomtien and Nongprue Police Stations, offering complete coverage of the Pattaya area.
