Russian Salad - the way I like it. Recipe: Boil water in a sauce pan, adding salt. Add 2 cups of medium (not fine) chopped vegetables: Any of Cauliflower, Carrots, French Beans, Peas, Broccoli, Baby Corn. I added some Macroni too. Cook until soft. Strain & Cool. In a salad bowl, take 80ml of freshly whipped milk cream. Add 1.5 spoons of Mayonnaise, 1.5 spoons of mustsrd oil and 2 spoons of powdered sugar. Whisk well. Fold in the boiled vegetables. You can also add diced pineapple (canned). Chill for ten minutes in the freezer compartment. Serve. Goes well with: Schezwan/ Ginger Fried rice Tomato/ Minestrone Soup Pasta in a Tangy Sauce Spicy stir fry vegetables. I coupled it up with Chilli Potato as a meal. Tips: You may omit the Mayo completely and itll still be good. Make sure the whipped cream is thick and saucy. All vegetables take different times to boil. E.g. - Beans, peas, baby corn will take more time. Add them first. Pasta may follow after a while. Then Carrots, Cauliflower and Broccoli. Itll help you avoid over cooking or undercooking of certain vegetables.
