Rusty Blankenship is my Facebook Friend of the Day Rusty is a great guy I met during my time in Brownfield. He was quite the athlete. He was the starting quarterback on the football team, a major part of a 23-8 boys basketball team and a major part of a Cub baseball team that started out the year ranked No.1 in Class 3A. He also got Mr. Cub (the award given for the top male athlete at Brownfield High School) for the 1986-87 senior year and was a most worthy recipient. Baseball was apparently his favorite sport as nowadays, he is the baseball coach at Palmer High School, which is located southeast of Dallas. Hes also a husband and a father and hes my Facebook Friend of the Day. Congratulations and God Bless You, Rusty. :)
