Rusty Dillard Wednesday am update: Day 24! He had a restless early morning. He decided he was tired of his feeding tube soooo he broke it off. The nurse tied a knot in it and put a bandage over it. Dr. came in and took it out. He is eating like a pig. Thank goodness! He no longer has an IV, feeding tube, trach, or anything else!!!! He does continue to have a knee stabilizer on his right leg. The Dr. said he is doing great medically. Rehab Dr. said a bed should be open tomorrow. Rusty did a good job following directions today. He put on his sock alone and held/ate his sandwich by himself. He wants out of bed! We plan to go for a stroll in the ortho bed again later today. We expect a visit from the ortho dr to discuss treatment plan for the knee today. He does recognize most people and can give you alot of facts, but still gets a little confused and doesnt know things you would expect. We WILL get there with your PRAYERS! Thank you all!!!
