She was born on December 15, 1945 in Zanoni, the daughter of Haston “Hack” and EllaMae (Allcorn) Smith. Ruth Ann graduated from Stafford High School in Kansas. She was united in marriage to Donald K. Edwards on June 14, 1968 in Hutchinson, KS. Mama….Grandma…..Sis…..Aunt Shan…..Cousin….Ruthie, whatever your name for her, she touched the hearts and impacted the lives of all who knew her. She absolutely loved her Heavenly Father and spending time with family and friends whether it be playing music, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, or relaxing down at the bottom! Her legacy will be cherished and remembered by all. Ruth Ann is survived by her husband Donald K. Edwards; children Rae Ann & Corey Flickinger, Rowdy and Julie Kelly, Starla and Jeff Maple; grandchildren Brianna Flickinger, Torell Flickinger, Colten and Devin Flickinger, Quincie Kelly, Macie Kelly, Shelbie Kelly, Josie Kelly, Jaci and Terrell Davis, Lynsey Maple, Kendric and Jordin Maple; great grandchildren T Davis, Cameron Davis, Aniah Martin, Hackston Flickinger; siblings Carma King, Pat Schremmer and Monty Smith; and many LOVED nieces, nephews and cousins! A Graveside Funeral service for Ruth Ann will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the Smith Chapel Cemetery with Maurice Hitt officiating.
