Rutland and Leicestershire County Cross-Country League Saturday 27 September - Twenty-two Sports Leaders were marshals at the second cross-country race of the season at Sykes Lane, Rutland Water. They ensured that runners in different age groups followed the correct course as well as encouraging them on their way. In addition, they were responsible for ensuring that first aid reached any runners in need of assistance promptly and helped at the end by collecting markers and posts. They were punctual, polite and full of enthusiasm. My thanks to those who helped as without their assistance the race would be very difficult to organise. We also had seven students who entered the competition and their results are below. If anyone would like to enter please see Mrs Powell for a letter.
