Ryan Tomberlin update: Weve had a setback overnight. Yesterday around 6:30 Ryan had a seizure after dinner. He was still at the time running that low grade fever, and upon discharge they said if we had a seizure within five days of discharge to come back. When they loaded him in the ambulance they realized his blood pressure was low.(Indicative of dehydration) and he still had a fever. Got an iv going and his bp and fever got better with fluids. Hes been drinking alot at home, but not eating well; but because weve had some gi troubles, he may have been losing more fluid than he was taking in. Ryan pulled the iv out upon arrival and they had difficulty starting another one because of the dehydration. His labs, chest x Ray, and labs were normal, but they decided to admit him for observation and hydration until they could figure what might be causing the fever. He was tested for viral infection last night. Waiting on that test. We had stomach x rays this morning, and are awaiting those results. Pray we can find cause of this fever and get him back on the road to recovery. Thanks everybody, Stacey Tomberlin.
