Ryan had a good day yesterday. He had some visitors and was in real good spirits. Last night Ryan started retaining fluids. He began to become very swollen, started breathing shallow and slightly rapid. He began having large ketones in his urine. They gave him lasix and within moments he started getting rid of all that fluid and his ketones went away. He was never in danger, just one of those things that happen with this round of chemo. Between that, the chemo, and meds we were up every hour, but he handled it like a champ. So impressed with my young man. #ryanstrong
