The aim of our project is to explore the historical period of the Turkish wars from a different perspective, with the involvement of 25 young people from the Visegrád countries.It was the sacrifice of Polish, Hungarian, Slovakian and Czech people which stopped the Turkish onslaught, and amongst other nations of Europe, they suffered the most during this period. Apart from dense military actions (invasions, counter-invasions, sieges of castles) where these then-kingdoms cooperated, a very rich cultural sphere had been created. How does it affect the lives of young people nowadays? What could we learn from our ancestors? To answer those questions, we organize a 8-day-long training camp, during which young people from the participating countries will have the possibility to get to know each other, learn about each other’s culture and work together in order to explore their common heritage and similarities of their history related to the Turkish era. egyutthato.eu/project/goe/?lang=en
