S A Jackson, Sr. age 71, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Mary Breckenridge Hospital in Hyden, Ky. He was born September 25, 1941 in Clay County to Lucy Smith Jackson Lawson and Nick Jackson. He is survived by his son: S A Jackson, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Manchester; 2 stepsons: Herman Hubbard of Manchester and Karl Dean Hubbard of London; these grandchildren: Angel Jackson and Dustin Jackson; these step-grandchildren: Karl Dewayne Hubbard, Virginia Hubbard, Karla Hubbard, and one step-great grandchild: Herman Hubbard, Jr.; one sister: Irene Hubbard of Manchester; and one brother: Nick Jackson, Jr. of Alexandria, KY. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lucy Smith Jackson Lawson and Nick Jackson; 1 brother: G C Jackson; 2 infant brothers: Donald Jackson and Alonzo Jackson; sisters: Oma Jackson, Oka Mae Jarvis, Troy Layton and Carrie Gilbert; 1 step-son: Ray Hubbard and step-father: Ben Lawson. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marlin Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Abe Jackson Cemetery on Goose Creek. Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2013 after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
