S H O C K I N G BEINGS. I really wonder if people consider integrity and value as anything in life anymore. Sometimes, I wonder how the friends, family and children of the likes of FFK feel when they see their father take a very strong stance against PDP a year ago, make a breath taking U turn and now defend the same PDP. I look at so many double faced chameleons all over both parties and wonder whether they have any conscience, value or purpose. The one that broke my heart so much this morning, in fact right now as I am posting this text is Dr Femi Aribisala who is presently talking on Channels Sunrise program together with another guy called Barrister Kingsley Omose. They say they represent an organization called Nigeria for Change. The way the two of them have gone about talking balderdash about things clearly unseen and unfelt by Nigerians is shocking and disheartening. What is going on with our elders, is it the influence of filthy lucre or just post colonial deficiency of the mind that is operating. I really fear for our country. When elders are operating on account of hate, ignorance, vengeance, jealousy and misguided leadership of pure sentiments, I sincerely dont know what hope is left for our well being. My respect for Dr Femi Aribisala whose view about Christianity I hold preciously (even though I dont agree with all his postulations) has gone suspect. I have never seen him so biased and compromising before. Well thank God for his mercies because only a fool will put his trust in a man. This has been one of my guiding pillars so what I witnessed just now was just a scratch to my skin. Nigerians are still very tired no matter the cosmetics strange men and women apply in the next three weeks.
