S.Jaye Goodies is all about quality, quality, quality. Whether it - TopicsExpress

S.Jaye Goodies is all about quality, quality, quality. Whether it is the actual furniture that is purchased or the products that are used on the furniture. I am excited to say I have found another brand of high quality paints that I will start using for my up coming retail pieces. Be on the look out for colors that you have never seen! On another note about quality... make sure you know what you are looking for when you buy painted furniture!! I recently have had a few discussions with custom clients about furniture they have purchased (not from S.Jaye Goodies), that lacked in quality that I will soon be fixing! Among many things, make sure the drawers work and that there is no bubbling wood! Also make sure that the painter is prepping their piece (a step that many do not do). Do not spend quality money on painted furniture that is missing gashes out of the wood and/or veneer. Lastly... look for drip marks and brush strokes; this can often indicate the quality of the paint that they use. Poor quality paint results in poor durability in the long run. Side note: the paint that you buy at the hardware store for your walls at home is not meant to be used on furniture. If not specified, ask the painter what brand and research it! This is not the first time I have had clients bring pieces to me before to fix, and unfortunately these are issues clients do not see or realize until they get their non refundable piece of furniture into their home! As always, feel free to contact me with ANY questions, even if it is about furniture that is not from me! I am so excited to show you all some new colors from this brand that I have been testing!! The first will be on a gorgeous dresser, the kind that you do not find every day! Who likes the ever so popular ikat print?! ;-)
