S.P.O.R.T.S. Advances to Round 2! We need your help to get to Round 3! As most of our families know, S.P.O.R.T.S. doesnt hold many fundraisers as we try to rely on our generous corporate sponsors support for help with funding our major programs. These programs include financial scholarships, interpreters for deaf participants, coaches background checks, anti-bullying programs, etc. Having said that, S.P.O.R.T.S. has been given the opportunity to participate in a unique fundraiser call Brackets for Good 2014 - indybracketsforgood.org. It is a fun fundraiser in that it promotes healthy competition between local not-for-profit organizations and is patterned after the upcoming college basketball tournament. Round Two Ends on March 14 at 7:59 p.m. Second Round: Current status: S.P.O.R.T.S., 186 points vs. Partners In Housing, 330 points (we are losing!). The opponent that scores the most points in the second round advances, earns an extra $250 and stays in the game with a chance at the $10,000 Grand Prize! Each group keeps the money they raise whether they win or lose their bracket, so its a win/win! Please consider donating $1 per family. $1 = 1 point which would get us to Round 3 of the tournament! Donations must be processed before the clock gets to zero. Processing time is dependent on the type of card used and current donation volume so please allow adequate time to submit your donation.
