S & S please - Olivers story >> An ACC volunteer writes: ****OLIVER WAS FOUND IN A CARRIER IN A TRASH BAG UNDER A PILE OF GARBAGE. BUT AFTER BEING RESCUED, THE FINDER BROUGHT OLIVER TO THE ACC WHERE HE IS NOW FACING DEATH AGAIN!!!!*** How can these stories be real? Poor Oliver had somebody literally put him in the trash so he could die and he was miraculously rescued by someone who heard him crying. They brought him home and fed him and gave him treats and said he was easy to handle. Then they brought him to the ACC where he caught a shelter cold and now the shelter is going to kill Oliver TOMORROW at NOON. THIS CAT DESERVES TO LIVE. CAN SOMEONE GIVE HIM A GOOD HOME? I read these stories nearly every night and find myself in tears. Thats why I reach out to you and encourage you TO PLEASE DO THE SAME within your own community. The person who found Oliver in the trash and rescued him clearly had a good heart. They were trying to do the right thing. BUT THE PEOPLE OF NEW YORK DO NOT REALIZE HOW THIS SHELTER OPERATES... that it will kill an animal over catching a cold!!! New Yorkers drop their animals off there thinking they are doing the right thing, the responsible thing, the kind thing. But they dont realize the HUGE likelihood that their animal will be killed (often in the first few days) by the very shelter they trusted to CARE. WHICH IS WHY I IMPLORE YOU TO PLEASE HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE ACC!!! Pass this petition on to everyone you know who might care...and even those who wont, because maybe the info will stick in their heads!
