S has a degree in theology from a school in Namibia and has taught in bible schools at various times. He is a well known Christian Reggae artist here in Zimbabwe and has travelled some in Southern African nations doing his music. Below are his thoughts on his Vineyard experience with Martin, Margaret and the team as they prepare to encounter the Father at the African Vineyard Leaders Conference in South Africa - August 4th August to the 8th. Firstly I would talk about my experience in the Vineyard Fellowship group, and then my experiences in other group meetings and cell groups. Followed by my expectations in 2014 Vineyard Conference in South Africa, which I will attend. When juxtaposed to other meetings, I have personally encountered a vast number of experiences (in Vineyard) , most if not all being above and beyond my expectations. Zimbabwe has many churches and as a result many sermons are preached, some accurate some a stone throw away from deceptive teachings. However here in this fellowship I have witnessed messages of the same genetic make up as the scriptures themselves. Teachings uprooted from Gods all powerful word and broken up to be shared as the last supper. In addition to this peoples burning questions have been answered and each member received personal attention when being answered. Lifes experiences are being shared and any unclear communications are dealt with caringly, as the saints fellowship to the Glory of God. (Acts 2:42, Phil 2:1, 1Jn 1:3.) Other church meetings have a ministerial approach that is not quite like that of the Vineyard Fellowship. I have seen meetings when DVDs have been played with the minister ministering and then people head home. No individual is attended to and no sharing of victuals as in the previous fellowship mentioned. It seems there is a neglect of both body and spirit (1Thes 5:23) . Religiously people gather as if it was a duty and no actual ground work was done. People have remained silent to these things and many souls have been lost, to which one day there will be an answer required. Socially there have been many opportunities to mix and mingle but issues concerning faith remain unattended to, spiritual malnutrition continues to intoxicate the Body of Christ here. Lastly I look forward to an enlightening time at the AVLN conference in SA. Times that empower us to change the destinies of people home in Zimbabwe. I look forward to personally being transformed by the undiluted Word of God, and that I leave those meetings a new and improved man, a better disciple of Christ.
