#SA #Weather #Corp Update: Barley Growers Weather Advice for the Lower Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and Mid North forecast districts Issued at 10:56 pm CDT on Monday 4 November 2013. Barley Growers are advised that hot, fresh to strong and gusty north to northwesterly winds are expected on Wednesday, ahead of a southwest to southerly wind change in the evening. These conditions could result in damage to barley crops. Provision of Barley Warnings will cease following the 2013 harvest. Forecast data to support on farm activities can be accessed from MetEye, bom.gov.au/australia/meteye/ Queries about these changes may be directed to [email protected] PIRSA advises that Barley growers take sensible action such as: Harvest as much barley as possible, especially higher value barley adhering to the CFS/SAFF Grain Harvesting Code of Practice.
