SAAFL © Round 10 Division 1 and Division 1 Reserves. All Game Times 2:15 and 12:15 Rostrevor OC v Goodwood Saints @ Campbelltown Oval St Peters OC v Broadview @ Caterer Oval Gaza v Henley @ Klemzig Oval Salisbury North v PHOS Camden @ Salisbury North Oval Adelaide University v Tea Tree Gully @ University Oval First plays second as Rostrevor Old Collegians host Goodwood Saints at Campbelltown Oval. ROCS had no trouble disposing of PHOS Camden winning by a whopping 108 points. Goodwood accounted for SPOC with State representative Mitchell Eleftheriou continuing his brilliant form, kicking three goals in the 39 point win. Both sides are evenly matched with even contributors on every line. Luke Manuel up forward has been magnificent for the ex college boys booting 28 goals this season whilst his partner in crime Drew Lister has 37 next to his name. Goodwood will need to contain both these players if they are to come away with a win. Goodwood too have goal kicking power with Murray Hamblin kicking 17 goals himself. Both sides have an even spread of contributors each week and do not rely on just 3 or 4 players to carry their respective team. By 5 pm Saturday one of these teams will be flag favourites. SPOC will need to beat Broadview if they are to defend their title. SPOC are coming off a disappointing 39 point loss to Goodwood last week and will want to bounce back against a plucky Broadview outfit. The tigers are also coming off a large loss to an inform Adelaide University. SPOC have too much to lose if the let this game slip and this will spur them on to defeat the tigers. Gaza host an inform Henley side who fought back from a three quarter time deficit to record a famous victory over Salisbury North. Jake Pavlich was at his classy best last week dominating in the middle of the ground and Gaza’s midfield will need to shut him down if they are to come away with a much needed victory. Gaza is in the relegation zone and a win will be a giant step to staying in the top flight. In other games Salisbury North take on a struggling PHOS Camden in a game the Hawks will look to gain some percentage. The hawks should not take the Phantoms lighly however, as they will be playing with a nothing to lose mentaility. Meanwhile Tea Tree Gully travel to the city to take on a rampaging Adelaide University side that are waiting at the bit to get into the top 5. With more riding on the contest Adelaide Uni’s forwards will get them over the line.
