P.A director health Zahoor Ragi told Sach News MINISTER INAUGURATES KASHMIR SKILLS AND SIMULATION LABORATORY AND PUBLIC HEALTH MUSEUM AT REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE DHOBIWAN TANGMARG Srinagar - 30th January 2014, The Hon ble Minister for Health ,Jenab Shabir Ahmed Khan visited RIH&FW Dhobiwan who was accompanied by Director Health Services Kashmir , Dr.Saleem- ur-Rehman and Dr.Yashpal Sharma ,MD,NRHM J&K.The Honble Minister was appraised of the activities being conducted at the said institute by DHSK where ERTC/BLS & Sim Mom (Gyn/ Obs) trainings were being imparted to the Medical Officers/LASs and paramedics by trainers . While welcoming the innovations and move within the department under leadership of Dr.Saleem-ur- Rehman ,Honble Minister during his speech said that such trainings being of utmost importance can save lives and are important for betterment of patient care and sustenance of life together. He further said that such trainings are essential component of health care delivery system to reduce mortality rate and enhance skill at grass root levels. Honble Minister for health inaugurated Kashmir Skills and Simulation laboratory and also Public Health Museum at the said institute. During his speech the Honble Minister praised for such innovative and meaningful research based caliber of the leadership and laid emphasis on such trainings at grass root levels which he was assured to be taken care of by DHSK.Jenab Shabir Ahmed Khan while giving brief on budgetary provision said that budget under NRHM has been double by now up to Rupees 424 crs which also is an achievement for managing better patient care facilities especially at far flung areas .He further said that 200 ambulances and 675 sub centers shall be soon in place. Honble Minister distributed certificates among the trainees who were instructed to serve better way with the acquired skill and their qualifications. During the course of session Honble Minister was informed by Dr.H.Vakar, Consultant surgeon of Health Services Kashmir about importance of training in BLS/ERTC & said 4500 personnel have been trained so far in such practices including drivers/media personnel and other social activists. Honble Minister directed all the stake holders to make every effort for such best practices and assured every possible help on behalf of the government.
