SAD NEWS Edward E. Roderick, 66, of Laporte, Colo., went home to Jesus on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, daughter, and brother. Ed passed away from congestive heart failure and related illnesses & disabilities suffered from his service in Viet Nam. Ed was born Sept. 12, 1947 in Wichita, Kan. to Ned and Helen (Kirch) Roderick. He grew up in Rapid City, S.D., then moved to Colorado. Ed was an avid motorcycle enthusiast from a very young age. Ed is survived by his wife Janet, daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Tim Gadeken, grandchildren Joshua, Kellie, Matthew, Aaron, and Lucas; brother Leonard (Shirley) Roderick, niece Jenniffer Roderick and her children, Toni and Kaleb; and special cousin Phillip (Jan) Kirch. Ed was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at Resurrection Fellowship in Loveland, Colo., on Thursday, March 27, at 1:30 p.m. Graveside services with full military honors, and interment at Roselawn Cemetery in Ft.
