:( SAD, POWERFUL TESTIMONY :( ... I would like to remain anonymous for fear of losing my job. I am a nurse at a hospital in Alabama. Today I walked by a precious boy in the nursery, fresh from his circumcision. Around him stood four nurses and a pediatrician. His diaper was off, and his bleeding genitals were exposed. They were working to control his bleeding. I walked by, took a look and exclaimed perhaps one day we will learn not to do this to our baby boys. The response was laughter. Yes, laughter. This is the work that must be done here in Alabama. That medical professionals find it amusing that a small infant boy was bleeding is beyond disgusting. Needless to say, as a circ regret mom, many tears were shed today. Thankfully this precious boy did not lose his life, just his right to intact genitals and dignity. ~A friend
