SAFETY GUIDELINES DURING TYPHOONS 1. Stay indoors & keep calm 2. Monitor TV & radio reports 3. Secure your home 4. Trim trees near dwellings if needed 5. Keep roads clear for emergency vehicles & Keep your vehicles in good condition. 6. If your house is in a flood-prone area, go to the nearest designated evacuation center 7. Have a flashlight, whisle, AM/FM radio handy (batt operated, with fresh extra batteries),& Communication devices 8. Stock on food, potable water, kerosene, batterries,first aid kits, personal needs & keep important documents. 9. In case of flooding, turn off the main sources of electricity, gas & water in your home 10. Stack furniture above the expected flood level. Keep appliances, valuable, chemicals, toxic substances & garbage beyond reach of floodwaters 11. Avoid low-lying areas, riverbanks, creeks & coastal areas, slopes, cliffs & foothills. Rains can trigger landslides, rockslides or mudslides 12. Avoid wading through flooded areas. Do not attempt to cross flowing streams. 13. Do not operate any electrical equipment during a flood 14. Do not use gas or electrical appliances that have been flooded. 15. Prepare a GO BAG in-case of Evacuation, dress and important things must keep inside plastic bag. courtesy weather watch
