SALAMI, BANDIT & STUART Time had run out for these 3 9 year olds, - TopicsExpress

SALAMI, BANDIT & STUART Time had run out for these 3 9 year olds, and despite 2 months of searching, we hadnt found them a foster or forever home. We had been advised that as a last resort we could split them, which as you know, we never do. We found a lovely lady who offered a beautiful forever home for Salami, with her, her husband and her 12 year old daxie, and decided to give it a try. Our foster mom Christine agreed to take Stuart & Salami as we literally had do other choice (despite already having 3 fosters and her own daxies) Stuart & Bandit simply stopped eating without Salami. 3 days went by and they were listless, lying by the door, or searching and crying for their sister. Salami was doing equally badly- crying & howling the minute her new Mommy left her sight. We made a decision there and then to re-unite the trio. Amazingly, the minute Salami saw her brothers, tails started wagging again, and all three ate their dinner with gusto, and curled up together in their bed. Salami mothers the other two, who follow her around constantly. They cannot cope without eachother. We have made a pact that no matter how long it takes, we will ONLY HOME THEM TOGETHER. So when we explain to people that pairs or trios are bonded, and we cant split them, THIS is exactly why we have this policy in place, irrespective of what we might be told by owners. THANK YOU to Christine for now being the amazing foster for 5 of our babies. WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME, NATIONWIDE with no more than 2 or 3 other small dogs, and no cats. Please contact Lakota.s@icloud if you can offer all 3 a home.
