SAND FROM MY SONNETS going to be as completely honest as i am usually totally obvious with whoever is reading this either in its original facebook format or in the book i hope someday to publish in some way, shape or form, as my father seemed to say far out of proportion to the necessity of the phrases normal context, and state for the record and for those tuning into this post-a-poem-a-day-for- a-year project recently that i am typing todays poem directly into this interweb thingy (im as fluent in technology as any nineteenth century man with 20th century skills coping in 2014 expectations can be) instead of writing it longhand and then editing upon posting which is how i usually strut my stuff. if anyone followed that first sentence which took up four stanzas they should be pulled over and breath tested, or made out with. i understand the processes are similar. i guess ill have to go back and write a title when im done here. other than that, just the oft-paddled stream of subconsciousness which mates honesty and revelation with a splash of northern comforter, that layer of preservation many of us are trying to remember where we stored it last spring (which was just 3 months ago). anyway, as i was saying, im so bad with tech stuff that i recently noticed that facebook doesnt just list all your posts going back forever, but you have to double- click on some highlights thingy about a month or so back (this is so boring the book-readers now) in order to see all my 270- some poems so far this calendar year. so thats why i have to publish a book, facebook (and no, spellcheck, im not capitalizing you until you post all my work without more work). that, and you might lose some along with all that other stuff you have to remember (oh, come give daddy a big hug, you work so hard yourself). therefore, Mr. Net, were giving folks a copy of these so they can feel free to shift some sand from my sonnets back onto the beach from whence it came. this shore of creativity will leave me high and dry by the end of the year, but just maybe it happened right now. pj rockwell 10/11/14
