SANTA UPDATE. Remember Santa our first abandoned pet of Christmas. Santa was dumpt on a door step Christmas Eve they rang the bell and run away. No it wasnt a surprise xmas gift or a gesture of kindness. It was the work of a unkind ,weak person. Santa barely 8-9wks old had suffered huge crush injuries to his front leg. Whether by a wheel or heavy foot we will never know. Thankfully the people who Santa was dumpt on contacted us and our Cruelty Officer brought him out to Heathlawn Christmas day. Santa through it all never complained, didnt cry, hiss or seek attention. Our tiny little man was so brave. We made him comfortable and he was quickly seen by our Vets. Santa has no break that our vet can find with such tiny bones but has major nerve and crush damage to the limb. We now have to wait and see what time will tell. Santa is so small and light we dont want to do surgery and then only as a last resort. We are hoping that with the treatment he has recieved and time some feeling will return to the leg and he will have use of it. What Santa needs now is lots of TLC and a safe place to recover. We would love a foster home for approx 2months where this little guy can get well . Santas turn now for us to give to him.
