SASCO call for mobilisation for the Free Education March The South African Students Congress will be having a weeklong Free Education campaign that will be taking place throughout the country and the main intention is that of accelerating our call for the introduction of Free Education. This Nationwide Free Education Campaign will take place from the 22 to the 26th of July 2013. The manner in which our march will unfold is the following: 1. Campus Protests These will take place on Monday the 22rd of July 2013. Every branch is to organise a campus protest to the Vice-Chancellors of the institutions and College CEOs. These marches will be based on local grievances that students might have on a campus basis. 2. Provincial Marches These marches will take place on Wednesday the 24th of July in all the Provinces and they should be provincially specific. The main target for these marches is the Department of Higher Education; our memorandums here are going to address issues that are burning in the institutions in the various provinces. 3. National March The national march will take place in Gauteng, in the City of Tshwane. It will go straight to the Department of Higher Education and Training. It will take place on Friday the 26 of July 2013. All structures of the organisation will be present in this gathering. SASCO calls on all its members, its organisational structures, the formations of the mass democratic movement and general society to join this accelerated call for Free Education.
