SATA TO APPOINT MUSA MWENYA AS ATTORNEY GENERAL NOW THAT MUMBA MALILA HAS BEEN SHELVED TO SUPREME COURT As was widely expected, Paliament yesterday ratified the appointment of Attorney General Mumba Malila as Supreme Court Judge to pave way for the appointment of Solicitor General Musa Mwenya as Attorney General. Ailing dictator Micheal Chilufya Mwango Chanda Charles Katongo Sata is also widely expected to appoint PF cadre Abraham Mwansa as the new Solicitor General to take over from Musa Mwenya. Mumba Malila was ratified to the Supreme court bench together with Justice Rhoda Kaoma yesterday. The Watchdog understands that Malila was not wanted by Sata for giving him sound advice on legal matters affecting government. “Sata does not want people who tell him the truth about national issues. He would rather people are flattering him with all sorts of lies. That’s how they differed with Mumba Malila and his appointment to the Supreme Court Bench is merely to pave way for loyal PF cadres who will be flattering him,” highly placed government sources told the Zambianwatchdog. Abraham Mwansa was once a losing candidate for Lubanseshi Constuency and during the 2011 elections, he was one of the PF applicants for the same constituency. He is currently the PF lawyer who defends the party on most of the cases including those involving expelled MPs from other parties such as Greyford Monde that have joined PF government.
