SATAN’S STRATEGY "Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words." (Exodus 5:9) Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, Satan has continued, through subterfuge, to ensure the human race is discouraged from obeying and serving God! This he does by dissuading sinners from receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, enslaving them in secular and, even religious activities while their souls remain spiritually “…dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1). The devil also does this by distorting the word and promises of God. Like Pharaoh in Egypt, Satan uses his distraction strategy to keep young people from seeking and obtaining grace for daily victorious living. Some of these stratagems include entertainments, sports, business, academic and other legitimate activities that the devil manipulates to keep you in bondage perpetually. Believers, young or old, educated or illiterate, rich or poor, employed or unemployed must be wary of the schemes of Satan and his agents to rob you of God`s promises by twisting legitimate needs and aspirations. You must therefore beware of the “…cares of this life…” (Luke 21:34) that weaken you spiritually and pray against them. Challenge: Determine to remain focused on Jesus. Prayer: O Lord, help me to prevail like Daniel. Further Reading: I Kings 20: 38 - 43 QUOTE: Be wary of the schemes of Satan to rob you.
