SATSUMA SNOBARS are a slight deviation from traditional Lemon Bars - TopicsExpress

SATSUMA SNOBARS are a slight deviation from traditional Lemon Bars and we know how everyone loves a really delicious lemon bar, right? And everyone in the Kitchen should know of my love affair with Satsumas. So, when I saw this recipe I had to whip up a batch and give them a try. This is a recipe from the Plaquemines Parish Fair and Orange Festival Cook Book, Sharing Our Best. It states that this particular recipe was a Second Place winner at the fair an was created by a Carolyn Barrios. It is definitely a beautiful dessert especially when prepared in a tart pan as opposed to a rectangular pan which is what the recipe suggests. I would also double my filling as I thought it was a bit too thin for my liking, but all in all it is a very lovely dessert. Once topped with the powdered sugar, it becomes an elegant yet simple dessert that anyone would be proud to have at their holiday table..
