SATURDAY 20TH DECEMBER CAN YOUR LIFE PASS THE INTEGRITY - TopicsExpress

SATURDAY 20TH DECEMBER CAN YOUR LIFE PASS THE INTEGRITY TEST? “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.” Exodus 20: 7 Taking the name of the Lord in vain is not limited to kids. Every time we hold the bible and swear, we have taken the name of the Lord in vain. Whenever we put forward our ‘God relationship’ but fall short of the expectations we built up in people, we have taken the name of the Lord in vain. Some people have been duped in business because they believed people who put their ‘God relationship’ forward, claiming to be dedicated church members, pastors and anointed men of God, whereas they were devil incarnates. In Matthew 5: 33–37, the bible further explains the whole issue of swearing. Jesus said; let your ‘yes’ be ‘yes’ and your ‘no’ be ‘no’, anything extra is wrong. This simply means that you have to build your integrity. Job was a man that God could boast of any day “… a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity.” Job 2: 3 Job’s position in God was totally without doubt. He was known as an upright man – a man whose yes was yes and whose no was no. He would not lie and pretend that he is being diplomatic. He would not manipulate figures in his office in order to make personal gain and pretend that it is the norm. He was a man of integrity. God calls every believer to a life of integrity. It is only then that men and women would bear witness that you are a person of honour whose word is his/her bond. Then, there would be no need for swearing or employing other unlawful dramatic moves before people believe what you are saying. Just remember, child of God, that whatever you do in private or public, matters to God. WORD OF PRAYER:- Dear Jesus, you have laid a pattern for us to follow. Help me to actively follow your footsteps. QUOTE:- You are what you do behind closed doors. Be in Church tomorrow for Enthronement Service by 8 am
