SATURDAYS STORM Depends on a lot of different things coming together. Theres not a lot of deep cold air with this. Therefore, the track of the storm and how quickly it intensifies will play a HUGE role in what we see. Both the European and GFS models show Bombogenesis (image #1). Bombogenesis is a fancy word we use in the weather world that defines a rapid intensification of a storm in a short period of time. The European model, as a result, goes nuts with snowfall amounts (image #2). But again, just the slightest shift east and this is a miss. Just the slightest shift west and this is rain and a mixed bag. So I certainly wouldnt cancel any plans just yet. But do realize there is the potential for a pretty good storm this Saturday. Whats my call you ask? With the way this winter has panned out so far and the pattern were in right now, I wouldnt dare attempt to make a call this far out and neither should anyone else just yet.
