SAULI KOSKINEN WAS SURPRISED ABOUT HIS DOI PARTNERS CHOICE OF HALLOWEEN COSTUME Published at Ilta-sanomat website on October 30th, 2013 Video at Ilta-Sanomat site: iltasanomat.fi/viihde/art-1288615438308.html Link to YouTube video: youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yeGEsLvPKGE Translation by Miachihu (miachihu] and Tiiqqu (tiiqqu), posted November 1st, 2013 S: I’ve spent my last two Halloweens in the States - in LA - and they’ve been really fun. Halloween is celebrated there a bit differently than here in Finland. And I think it’s really crazy that already like two months earlier they start selling the pumpkins in flower shops and everywhere, and people are really putting an effort in decorating their houses and they hang amazing amounts of decorations and spider webs around, and the pumpkins are everywhere… so it really is a big celebration there and for sure - I’ve been in pretty wild parties celebrating it during the past two years. It’s a pity that I’m not there now but it’s cool that I’m here… N: We’re having our own Halloween … S: We’re having our own Halloween, yes… N: … party. --- S: Well, I’ve been a vampire during those two Halloweens. Then I’ve also been an Indian, but I don’t know – I think it really wasn’t Halloween at that time… (laughter) S: … I was an Indian for no particular reason! (chuckles) N: Just a Sauli’s basic Friday! (laughs) S: But yes, as a vampire, only a bit of a different kind of vampire. --- N: Well, I’ve only celebrated Halloween once, while I was in the States. S: What were you wearing? Were you an Abyssinian guinea pig? (laughter, Nea totally cracks up) N: Thanks! Really scary! Yeah… then I ate everything (pretends being a guinea pig nibbling at something) N: What was I during that Halloween… I was a border guard. S: A border guard??? N: Well, yes… because we were a bit late when we went to the shop for the costumes, so there really weren’t that many left… (laughs) … but I tried my best and… S: But it’s a really cool celebration and you really can dress up as anything… N: Yes! S: … there are no limits! N: No, there really aren’t. I for sure had fun and you really could see that it is a really big thing in the States and everyone had dressed up, so it was more like people were looking more strangely at those who weren’t dressed up. S: Yes, exactly! Source: saulicorner.boards.net/thread/4/doi-translations?page=2
