SAVE MARGO & ANIMALS Campaign ROARS WORLDWIDE For the attention of the Logan City Council, I am lodging my contempt and disgust of the said council for their behaviour towards Margo Bernard and the Animal Sanctuary. Once again the bureaucratic bullshit is in the landscape of indifference, and lacking in the capacity of compassion or just ordinary care, and completely devoid of common sense. Your more concerned with the anul preoccupation of permits and paraphernalia, than the vision and recognition of this women and just how hard she was prepared to work, to make sure all these animals were kept from the grasp of the council. I know first hand how councils have turned a blind eye to any animals pain and suffering, and if those unfortunate creatures have the misfortune to cross your path, its a one way street to dying. What a pity you do not invest as much vigour and determination to thinking outside your very narrow view of extermination as the only alternative, and invest some of that very negative energy into helping people like Margo. Forget about the WE HAVE RULES AND REGULATIONS mentality, and try to understand that KINDNESS AND COMPASSION should not be included in those very narrow boundaries. Thank God, because if your council were to apply for a permit allowing you to care, your application should instantly be refused just on principal, because no matter how you argue you do not. Who would not be prepared to put themselves in legal limbo, as the alternative to how council deals with this. You remind me of a bunch of vultures, lurking around in the background, rubbing your hands together and mounting your next attack, fines, or God only knows what else is on the agenda. Instead of seeing this as an opportunity to actually do something to help, your only interested in adding to her problems and worries. What the hell is wrong with you people, as individuals and as a collective, that you are so focused on making things worse. You have completely lost the ability to see what is happening, and so entrenched in your narrow and constrained views, that humanity has been dispensed with. Why can you not back off, at least long enough to give her and her supporters time, so that all that hard work can count for something and those animals can maybe be placed in kind loving homes. Do try tempering your lust, and the we will make her pay mentality, try instead just for once to prove that councils have the ability to prove they are human. Not everything in life is justified with permits, regulations, and permission and legal forms. It is actually possible to work outside the bullshit, but only when one desires to see a good and just outcome. I home that the faces of those little creatures haunt you and your dreams, along with the thousands and thousands of others you have so swiftly and with such brutality dispensed with. YES I have heard your excuses and explanations on how the responsibilty of ridding society of unwanted animals is so abhorrrent, and if you were not to enthusiastic in your determination and in less of such indecent haste to see it occur, it might not have a hollow ring to it.
