A volunteer writes: How much goodness can you pack into forty pounds?? This compact charmer seems to be pushing the limit! Red is TINY and so handsome; he is low to the ground, his coat is a sort of sable pattern and he even has a widows peak. When I first met Red he was very friendly and eager to go out. He was happy to explore, waggy and attentive, but a bit hand shy when I pet him. He warmed up some, but really came out of his shell on a subsequent walk when he spotted a companion dog he was found with. Red gave me kisses, propped his paws on me and leaned into me. Since then, he has been very affectionate! Red seems to have housetraining and seems to like all other dogs, not just his buddy! Ever see people carrying their small dogs on the subway or in other public places and wish you could do the same, but youre not a small dog person? Red is totally your guy! He is no problem to pick up and totally cooperative if you want to hold him....even content! Red is really a catch...hes waiting to be scooped up into his forever home at Brooklyn ACC!
