All powers of Life towards their godhead tend In the wideness and the daring of that air, Each builds its temple and expands its cult, And Sin too there is a divinity. Affirming the beauty and splendour of her law She claims life as her natural domain, Assumes the world’s throne or dons the papal robe: Her worshippers proclaim her sacred right. A red-tiaraed Falsehood they revere, Worship the shadow of a crooked God, Admit the black Idea that twists the brain Or lie with the harlot Power that slays the soul. Tutti i poteri della Vita tendono verso la loro divinità nella vastità e audacia di quellatmosfera, ciascuno costruisce il suo tempio ed espande il suo culto, e anche il Peccato è lì una divinità. Affermando la bellezza e lo splendore della sua legge, rivendica la vita quale suo naturale dominio, assume il trono del mondo o indossa la veste papale: i suoi adoratori proclamano il suo sacro diritto. Essi venerano una Menzogna dalla tiara rossa, adorano lombra dun Dio deforme, ammettono lIdea nera che sconvolge il cervello o giacciono col Potere prostituta che uccide lanima.
