SAY NO MORE.... BY VOTING UKIP AT THE NEXT General Im voting UKIP in the next election - 2015 Events in Europe this week have brought Albania one step closer to EU membership. Another poor country that we Britons will have to support.... Having passed almost all stages prior to becoming an official EU candidate country, certain aspects of the prospect of Albania becoming a full member state give Britain cause for concern. Albania’s tiny economy, with an annual GDP of just 5 percent of the EU national average, means they will need enormous amounts of European money to bring them up to speed. This will put a huge strain on net contributors, such as Great Britain, who already carry the economies of eastern European states on their shoulders. Only recently, after the European elections when Britain overwhelmingly voted for Eurosceptic parties, we were asked to contribute a further £500 million to the EU’s coffers. Differences in living standards of new and existing EU nations have always caused mass movements of people across the continent, many ending up here in Britain. Unlike many other European countries, we have a non-contributory benefits’ system.
