Boycotts and copy-cats, behind-the-scenes videos and whoda-thought-it facts have emerged since THAT Kimye for US Vogue issue landed last month - and it sounds like the buzz has paid off. In fact, its been reported that Kim Kardashian is on track to sell a record number of copies, justifying Anna Wintours decision to feature the reality star and her fiancé Kanye in the fashion bible. The projections are that Kim and Kanye will likely sell almost 500,000 copies, a source told RadarOnline. The figures are yet to be confirmed, but its thought Kims cover could outsell previous issues featuring Beyoncé and Americas First Lady Michelle Obama which sold 355,39 and 293,798 copies respectively. Kims highly coveted cover didnt come without controversy and Anna Wintour was forced to defend her decision to feature the couple. As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogues cover. He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isnt true. And who are we to argue with Wintour? Yes, Kim K has efficiently and effectively sought to conquer planet fashion - and shes only gone and done it! Alongside Kanye West, Kim is the star of the latest issue of American Vogue, cementing her fashion ascendancy. Ever the perfect pair, Kimye are looking tres chic (and loved-up) in complementing monochrome; hes in a black suit while shes kitted out in a wedding-worthy ivory gown - does this mean The Wedding is imminent?!
