SCA Secretary II Fort Irwin Description This position will screen telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondence; personally respond to requests for information concerning office procedures, determine which requests should be handled by the supervisor(s), appropriate staff member or other offices. May prepare and sign routine, non-technical correspondence in own or supervisors name. Make arrangements for conferences and meetings and assemble established background materials, as directed. May attend meetings, record and report on the proceedings. Review outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and conformance with supervisors procedures; assure proper clearances have been obtained as needed. Collect information from the files or staff for routine inquiries on office program(s) or periodic reports. Refer non-routine requests to supervisor or staff. Explain to subordinate staff supervisors requirements concerning office procedures. Coordinate personnel and administrative forms for the office and forwards for processing. Provide secretarial and clerical support to Division Manager and Supervisors in a professional manner in a complex organization with multiple functions and echelons with high visibility to the customer and senior management. Maintain office files, records, COPs, DOPs and Division Personnel Records. Orders general office supplies, picks up and delivers incoming and outgoing mail. Performs clean-up duties and polices the areas as assigned.. Basic Qualifications: 1. Associates degree from an accredited college or university: Note - 2 years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education. 2. Must have three (3) years of general office experience 3. Must be knowledgeable in computer and other office equipment usage 4. Must have a minimum typing speed of forty (40) words per minute 5. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a military operator’s permit for each type of vehicle or equipment required to operate. 6. Must be a United States citizen or be authorized to work in the United States. 7. Must possess a DOD Secret clearance or ability to acquire it. 8. Must meet the certification requirements of FORSCOM Reg 350-10 9. Must be able to meet CMF criteria in accordance with DA PAM 611-21 and AR 601-210 Apply At: northropgrumman
