SCAD Exhibition Call for Submissions Deadline for submissions is Friday, May 16. The SCAD exhibitions department invites SCAD students, professors, staff and alumni to submit entries for the 2014 summer sales exhibition “Immediate Surroundings.” “Immediate Surroundings” seeks works by SCAD artists that depict a range of interpretations that suggest a sense of place. This can include interiors or landscapes, still lifes or close-up images, representations of people or cities, abstract or representational visions of the environment — whatever you believe examines the personal or overarching world you live in, directly or indirectly. The “Immediate Surroundings” call for submissions welcomes artists making work from a variety of disciplines including but not limited to painting, photography, sculpture, fibers, film, animation, drawing and printmaking.
