SCAM- Mid Missouri Credit Union- SCAM most of us knew it was but.... Please disseminate as you deem appropriate. Ive received several emails concerning a local telephone scam pertaining to the Mid-Missouri Credit Union (MMCU). Some individuals receive a call from an unlisted number and others have received a call from 888-493-8358. All calls seem to start with a recording saying they were the Mid-Missouri Credit Union and they had lost your debit card information. You were instructed to press 1 to talk to the security team. Some calls were ended when individuals pressed 1 and others talked to an individual who asked for their complete debit card number, expiration date, and the code on the back of the card. The MMCU is completely aware of this issue and has posted the following response, If you receive a phone call from someone stating that they were from Mid Missouri Credit Union requesting that you allow them to re-activate your debit card by entering your debit card number, this is a SCAM. Please be assured that we will never contact our members to re-activate their debit card or to request that they enter their debit card number. If you have any questions, please call a branch near you.
