SCAM ALERT -- We have had customers at several locations call and report that they are receiving an automated call telling them their debit card has been deactivated and they need to enter in their card number and pin to reactivate it. Platte Valley Bank wants to remind you that we will never ask you to give us your personal information. We already have it. If you responded to this call and gave your information, please contact your local Platte Valley Bank right away. If you did not respond to this call, you are fine. Some things to remember: We do not have an automated system. When we suspect fraud with your card, a live person will call you and identify themselves as “This is (name) from Fraud Prevention Services on behalf of Platte Valley Bank.” They will give you the last four numbers off your debit card, then they will ask you for the last four digits of your SSN to verify they are speaking to the right person. Then, Fraud Prevention Services will ask you to contact your local Platte Valley Bank if they find there is fraud on your card. They will not ask you for any other personal information, but direct you to call our staff. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your personal banker.
