SCARY THOUGHT - There was a good reason why Musharraf had put these guys behind bars in 1999. Usurping Power under the guise of ‘Democracy’ these brothers tried to manipulate the institutions (judiciary, parliament, police etc.) and used ill-gotten money to buy and coerce support in the National Assembly for their designs. They applied these and many other cunning tactics to gain Supreme Leadership of Pakistan for Life (Amir-ul-Momanin). This was a betrayal to Democracy and to Pakistan of the first order. Imagine today if we had them as Pakistan’s Amir-ul-Momanin and Pakistan was their ‘Shariah Caliphate’. It is dreadful to even think about what the country would be like today. The mystery I have not been able to solve is; (a) How in the world did these guys manage to come back into power in Pakistan? (well I sort of have a clue on this one but Ill let time take its course and (b) Why in the world did the People of Pakistan not raise a loud alarm when these brothers returned back to Pakistan from the holy land? As much as I want to thank Musharraf for saving the country from extreme radical thinking and thank him for turning around the countrys thinking to a more moderate thinking - still, I have these questions for him; Mr. Musharraf, if you knew these people were closet Talibans, why did you let them return? Why did you compromise your values for the sake of staying in power? Why in the hell did you not disclose all the closet Talibans and have them put behind bars and eventually punished - especially when you had solid evidence, charges, proofs of not only Taliban links but also proof on corruption, money laundering and perhaps even bribery.
