SCARY situation happened to me and my deaf dog, Pepper today. Suggestions welcome. I have spend hundreds of hours and so much energy in the past year teaching Pepper and helping him to be comfortable around other dogs and now THIS????? I think were back to minus 1. :-( So peeps, I kinda need help. Or something. Im freaking out and words in the English language fail to properly and adequately convey how FLIPPING ANGRY I am at the THREE IGNORANT, IRRESPONSIBLE owners of 5 UNLEASHED Yorkie/Chihuahua mixed yappy dogs who spooked my deaf dog, Pepper, today while I was walking him through a nearby park and we were minding our own business. These yappy dogs totally came out of nowhere, ran up to and surrounded Pepper, and even though I did an immediate about face and tried to get away, they followed us. Pepper was totally ambushed and we were both caught off guard and I felt so bad for him! Because of his fear aggression toward strange/unknown dogs, he lunged at them to protect himself (picture panic attack) and *allegedy* nipped one on the ear or neck (according to the dogs owners). It all happened so fast but the dogs owners came running after me screaming and demanding my contact information, which I REFUSED to give them, because we did NOTHING WRONG! Pepper was on a leash and simply reacted to being spooked by FIVE dogs who should NEVER have been near him!!!!! They said they know where we live b/c they see me walking my dogs all the time so now I dont know *what* will happen and Im kinda freaking out. Will I get sued? Or WORSE - will the county animal control come after me and take Pepper? Will they label him a vicious dog because he attacked another dog? Then what? My mind is racing right now with horrible scenarios. OMG! REGARDLESS, this is my message to them if they want to come after me: BRING IT ON!!!! I WILL NOT LET ANYONE BULLY ME OR MY DOG WHEN WE WERE NOT AT FAULT!!!! WE DID NOTHING WRONG! SO YOU WANNA MESS WITH ME AND MY DOGS???? I SUGGEST YOU GET ON YOUR KNEES AND START PRAYING AND BEGGING FOR MERCY TO WHATEVER GOD YOU BELIEVE IN TO SAVE YOU FROM MY WRATH BECAUSE YOU CERTAINLY WILL NOT GET ANY MERCY FROM ME!!!!!!
