SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK: MONDAY 11/4 – Capture a Sig Day – Presentation 7-8PM – PLC 125 • Capture a Sig – 8AM – 11:59PM –Sigma Chis can be captured by sorority ladies only to be released once they have participated in some activity contributing towards City of Hope. Examples include helping make cards for patients, picking out toys, etc. Points will be awarded based on the class of the captured Sigma Chi or pledge. It is at the sorority lady’s discretion as to when the Sigma Chi or pledge is free to go. Each Sigma Chi or pledge can be captured only once. • Presentation will be given by City of Hope representatives. Points will be awarded for chapter attendance percentage. TUESDAY 11/5 – Pledges Skit Night & Coaches Auction 8PM Sandbar - Sign a Sig Day • The Sigma Chi Pi pledge class and their big bros will be organized into groups to perform 5-minute skits in front of a panel of seniors (one lady from each sorority). Skits will require the mention of City of Hope, Sigma Chi, and the sororities. Skits will be judged on their incorporation of the theme, originality, and creativity. After all skits have been performed and the judges votes are in, each skit will be auctioned off in the order in which they performed. Points will be earned by purchasing the skit that scores highest with the judges. The purchased team will be coaches for the week providing assistance with skits and the powder-puff game. • Sign A Sig Day – all day 8AM-11:59PM – Sigma Chis will wear white T-shirts to be signed by sorority ladies. Please write both your name and the Greek letters. The sorority which has the greatest percentage of signatures on a particular shirt will win that shirt. Points are awarded based on which sorority won the most shirts. WEDNESDAY 11/6 – Coolers due to tent by 5PM, Sorority Appreciation Night - 7PM-10PM – Lacrosse Field (by George Page Residences), Blood Drive 11AM-4PM Fireside Room, • Sigma Chi celebrates the sororities. Donations are encouraged - $5 per person. Come ready to have fun! • Donate blood/apply for City of Hope’s bone marrow registry! In the Fireside Room 11AM-4PM. Limited spots are available – sign up by Tuesday at 5PM. Points are given to the respective sorority on a per donation basis. 5 points per donor for her respective sorority. THURSDAY 11/7 –Athletics Night 7PM Fieldhouse– Sorority Skit Night in Sandbar – 8:30PM-End • Join us to cheer on women’s volleyball at 7PM versus Saint Mary’s. Points will be awarded to the sorority who shows the most spirit at the game and highest percentage of chapter attendance. This is also IP night – if you are traveling abroad you can incorporate this in your attire otherwise wear your best cowgirl garb. Sign in at the check-in table upon entry to receive points per chapter percentage and sit together! • Sorority Skit Night – Each sorority will create a maximum 8-minute skit to be performed in front of a panel of judges comprised of Sigma Chi alumni. Skits will be judged on their creativity, use of the theme, incorporation of City of Hope, use of props/costumes, and humor. Any skits derogatory towards others will be disqualified. FRIDAY 11/8 – Powder Puff Game 2PM-End • Teams will consist of seven players on the field at each time. The clock will run for two 10-minute halves stopping only for halftime, timeouts and when the clock has hit the two-minute mark near the end of each half. Intramural flag football rules will apply. Brackets determined based on point standing on Thursday. Winner moves on.
