SCHOOL! I find it interesting when people make blanket statements like, Teachers arent like they used to be, or Schools dont focus on education anymore or whatever. This is my 36th year of having the privilege of rolling into 26 different classrooms in 4 different school districts every week for music therapy. This is sort of a long-term weekly spot check of each elementary, intermediate, jr hi, and high school campus. Although no program or teacher or administrator is perfect, my continuous observations over the years verify LOTS of intense effort and creative energy as teachers connect with and teach each student, helping them learn and maximize their potential. Best wishes to all involved in the education of our communities kids as we jump into a new year of learning adventures.
