SCHOOL NEWS UPDATE: Summer is quickly coming to an end with the first half-day of school slated for this Friday – and then the first full day on Monday, August 12. Here are a few reminders for Fairview area parents and students Fairview Middle School’s Jumpstart is Monday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 6. Jumpstart for 6th graders ONLY is Monday from 4:30 – 7 pm. Jumpstart for 7th/8th graders is Tuesday from 4:30- 7 p.m. Parents of sixth graders will need to bring original proof of residency (2 bills) and parents of seventh graders need to bring original updated immunization records. Students will get their agendas, schedules and lockers at this event. They will be able to turn in paperwork to nurse/pay fees/order gym uniforms/sign up for lunch and apply for free/reduced lunch. On Friday, August 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the FMS PTO will be hosting a Pool Party for Sixth Graders at the Fairview Recreation Center. Cost is $5 at the door and includes swimming, pizza, drink, and dessert. Mark your calendars for Fairview Middle School’s Open House on Tuesday, August 27.
